How to get in Ghent?

By airplane:
- The nearest international airport is Brussels. The airport City Express leaves from within the airport building (floor -2) and takes you to one of the main stations in Brussels (subsequently Noord/Nord, Centraal/Central and Zuid/Midi), where you can switch to one of the many intercity trains (IC) to, or via "Gent-Sint-Pieters", Ghent's main railway station (Directions Brugge, Knokke, Blankenberge, Oostende all stop in Ghent). Some trains run directly from the airport to "Gent-Sint-Pieters". Train schedules (from Brussel-National-Aeroport to Gent-Sint-Pieters; in order to know the rate : choose "details for selection" and then click "Euro")

- If you land in Brussels South Charleroi Airport, a shuttle coach leaves the airport (every 30 minutes) to the main Brussels railway station (Brussels Midi). On this website you can find the time table for the shuttle Charleroi airport-Brussels. In Brussels Midi you can take one of the many intercity trains (IC) to "Gent-Sint-Pieters", Ghent's main railway station.

Arriving at train station Gent Sint-Pieters:
From Ghent St. Pieters station, there are tram and bus services to the centre of Ghent. We recommend to take tram 1, stop at 'Korenmarkt': upon alighting turn left (onto Cataloniëstraat/Korenmarkt), go over the bridge (Sint-Michielshelling; from the bridge you can see 'Het Pand' on your left, next to the Sint-Michiels Church) and turn into the first street on your left (OnderBergen); approx. 100 m further you will find the front garden and entrance to 'Het Pand'. A single fare costs €1,20. You have to buy a ticket at the ticket machine at the train station.

Alternatively you can take a taxi in front of the station. From the train station to the centre of Ghent by taxi takes approximately 10 minutes and costs € 10-15.

By car:
On the motorway E40 or E17 follow the directions "Gent" / "Gent Centrum". You are now entering Ghent via the Zuidparklaan; follow the main direction. Now follow the signs "P-Route" (parking guidance route) to parking P7 (Sint-Michiels). The parking garage P7 (Sint-Michiels) is located near the Sint-Michielshelling and has an exit (and entrance) in the Wilderoosstraat (Onderbergen), opposite 'Het Pand'.
